Spiritual Journey, Consciousness, Spiritual Path and Higher Self
Help…
How do I start on my Spiritual journey? What is my path?
In Case of Emergency, Break Glass
“In case of emergency, break glass” refers to an action or and item designed when a critical situation occurs. A circumstance where normal actions are blocked. It is a way to access an elevated level or increase help, even if temporary. It brings resolve to the issue with swift action since the standard action is unavailable or not enough to ensure resolution.
Cosmic Butterfly
I faithfully believe we need to send loving prayers, helpful words, thoughts, and actions to this devastating situation. I can not imagine the pain of everyone involved. If you are an empath, your energy and emotional well-being are being affected, not only because of the lives lost, but because the world is in an emotional tailspin.
July is a Wonderful Time to Grow
This is the month that is said to bring in strength, persistence and resilience. It is a connection or reconnection to nature with an emphasis on grounding yourself. July brings in change, travel, relationships and spontaneity.
Soul Purpose Training
Soul Purpose Training
I’ve been reading a lot about “spirituality”. I meditate and think on it on a daily basis. Searching for the balance of the vibration for my own personal alignment. Looking for answers that may or not appear now, but I have trust in the universe to know the answers will when I need them to appear. Spirituality is not only a religion, doctrine or dogma. It is the belief in knowing there is a God force greater than us, a connection to our human self and our energetic force.
My husband, Jeff, showed me a daily thought from the 24 Hour A Day Book. To me, this was synchronicity of my search for alignment. Here is what it said, “Your life has been given to you mainly for the purpose of training your soul. We often choose the way that is best for the body, not what best suits our soul. God wants you to choose what suits the soul as well a s the body. Accept this belief and a wonderful molding of character is the result. Reject it and God’s purpose for your life is frustrated, and your spiritual progress is delayed. Your soul is being trained by the good you choose. Thus, the purpose of your life is being accomplished.”
On the streaming Connecting to Spirit podcast channel tonight June 10th, I’ll be speaking on spirituality. The podcast and this blog go hand in hand. Be sure to tune in or if you miss it, watch or listen to the replay.
So, let’s dive deeper. I want you to think about what you give to your body, that also suits the soul. Our body needs nourishment to survive. Depending on what we feed our body will be the outcome of how we feel. Let’s examine how to nourish the soul. What do you read, watch on tv and social media, what do you think about? Do these things nourish your soul cause undue anxiety?
Our body needs rest, so we sleep. Sleeping re-energizes our body and helps to refresh it. The soul, also, needs rest. Rest can be meditation, going for walks, praying, turning off the static around you like your phone.
We clothe ourselves for warmth and protection from the outside elements. Do you consider how to protect your energetic soul? Setting up boundaries, being mindful of the energy around you.
We have family and friends for love and support. Do you offer love and support to yourself, for your soul well-being? Do you advocate for your beliefs in a peaceful loving way?
These are only a few things not only does your body require but your soul as well.
I’ve been reading a book “The Awakened Mind” by Dr Lisa Miller. In her book she writes about a study she conducted in the 90’s to compare the effects that spirituality has over depression. Having faith to realize whatever comes your way, you believe there is a greater power who has a plan. Sometimes we know the plan deep within our hearts, but we ignore it, making it frustrating and more difficult. She spoke about how the receptors of the brain would light up differently for different people depending on the conversation and if they had a belief system. No always, based on religion but a belief in a higher power.
I often wonder why I don’t follow through with things I know are best for me. I know I should but for whatever reason I ignore it. Then I am faced with the truth of had I just done it things would be a lot easier on me. I must enjoy placing speed bumps in my life instead of rolling smoothly through the path. Why is doubt so much greater than faith at times but at other times faith is greater than doubt? We have been taught a habit of eating breakfast, lunch and dinner. Even to the specific times to eat. But do you think I can have that same obedience to exercising? The answer is no. Why is this habit a block? It’s me, no one else but me.
l was listening to a podcast, the other day about Kundali. There are people who have great experiences with it but others who do not. It is that deep shadow work to face and come to peace and resolution within our own being. The host spoke about the chakras, but he came to realize the heart chakra was the only one that could truly be blocked and that it mandated the outcomes of the other chakras. Our emotion of love rules the crown, 3rd eye and throat chakra, but it also controls the sacral, solar plexus and root chakra. I had to process this a bit. I also came to the realization that love is the center point of what I allow into my energy (crown) how I visualize (3rd eye) and how I speak to myself and others (throat). Interesting right? My heart also keeps me balanced and grounded deepening the way I feel about my surroundings. (root) The sacral is all about emotions and pleasure, again ruled by the heart and the Solar Plexus is linked to confidence, personal power and self-esteem. Yes, they are all governed by the effects of the heart chakra. Our heart chakra is mighty. This seems like a great starting place to comfort the body as well as the soul. The center of it all is love.
In Matthew, it speaks about loving your neighbor as yourself. It is part of the greatest commandment which is “Love the Lord God with all your heart, and with all your soul and all your mind.” This creates sincere affection with you, from you and to you. What does your body and soul require? LOVE. Rejecting this makes life difficult. Getting over the fear of vulnerability takes time and mindfulness. The act of sharing and receiving creates sincere love. A spiritual soul experience.
How to start? One thing to put into practice is changing your words and thoughts to include the word love. Instead of saying I hate Mondays, you could say I love the start of a new week. Or I hate getting gas in my car to I love that I have a tank of gas to go anywhere I want. Being aware of what you say and think places the right intentions into the world around you. Practice sending love to someone who is difficult. Instead of being uncomfortable with a compliment simply say thank you. Start to form your breakfast, lunch and dinner habit into your love habit. This is the Law of Attraction. We receive what we put out into the world. Believe in the spiritual, energetic path you are on. When you do, you will begin to see that you truly love the life you live, and you are living a life you love.
I want to leave you with this quote by Rachael Marie Martin
Your day doesn’t have to be perfect
To have meaning
Showing up matters
Trying matters
Loving matters
Perfection does not matter
you matter.
I would love to hear your thoughts about this blog.
Blessing to you

The Healing Wisdom of the Turtle
The Healing Wisdom of the Turtle
We can learn a lot by watching the actions of animals. In readings, I often speak about turtle energy. The message the turtle brings is that no matter where you are in life, you have options. We all have spirit animals that we are drawn to, that we connect with and that show us a path of spiritual enlightenment.Let’s look deeper into what the turtle represents. The turtle has a protective shell around it. Without this shell, the turtle is vulnerable to the dangers of the world and would surely die. Sometimes, the turtle hides, rests and reflects in the confines of this safe space. Other times, it peaks its head and legs out moving slowly about the earth and if it is a sea turtle it can move swiftly through the water. But no matter where it goes or what it does, it travels with its home. This home is its safe space that is surrounded with the armor of protection of the shell. The turtle symbolizes longevity (they can live from 10 to 150 years) which is why they are also considered to be symbols of wisdom and endurance - the slow and steady journey of life. Let’s reflect on the story of the tortoise and the hare. The turtle won the race because it stayed focused and grounded. While the hare; seeing what it thought was the obvious outcome lost focus. It did other things less important including taking a nap. Upon waking noticed the tortoise was almost at the finish line and ultimately crossed before the hare. The lesson; stay focused and keep moving forward keeping the finish line in sight.Because of their longevity, they are said to have the knowledge of life’s cycles and the concept of time. They are patient and steady moving and persevere through the physical and emotional challenges. Crawling so closely to the ground they have a sense of being rooted to the earth, naturally grounded. They adapt to the environment that surrounds them. Their shell, their home is a protective armor for safety and security. They are considered to be where the secrets of the universe travel. They are the connection between the earthly and spiritual realm. It is thought that because they move slowly for years with their focus on finding the enlightened path. This natural ability is seen as being a healer and acquiring spiritual awareness.Having a turtle cross your path means “life is happening in the perfect timing of the universe” also called divine timing. When we move too quickly, we tend to be unfocused. We miss life’s lessons and the wisdom the universe is offering.I tell you all of this to explain the rest of the story. I have been reading a book by Brianne Weist that came wrapped in plastic. The title of the book “When you’re ready. This is How You Heal.” Having been in marketing years ago, there is a genius thought behind wrapping the book. It makes the book special, with all the answers tucked inside a wrapped book. It gives you the option to leave it wrapped until you are ready. Then when you pick it up, you are making the decision to start. Just by opening the wrap. It’s like tying your shoes and standing up before you decide to start your day.I am digesting every nugget of information written on these pages. Some do not pertain to me at this time, but I have experienced the things she speaks of. Had I had this book a few years ago, things may have been a little easier. But on the other side of that thought, I may not have been ready to hear the solutions. I needed to move slowly through these things to gain the wisdom, I know I have deep within me. After digesting only a few chapters, I ordered several copies to have on hand for those going through things that a conversation with someone may not be understood. Words, when reading help you to have a deeper conversation with yourself. The chapter entitled “If You Ever Feel Lost, Please Remember that You can Make a Home Within Your Own Heart” This is the chapter that reminded me of the turtle medicine. We carry our heart with us everywhere we go. Being connected to your heart can help you to understand the wisdom within. She said to find the courage to create your own life “Your chest is where you find peace. Your heart is where you find love. Your mind is where you find inspiration. It is no one’s job to make you feel safe. Until you are at home in your heart, peace in the world will be difficult to acquire.” That’s a real thinker. Until you are at home in your heart. Home in your heart. Peace in the world will be difficult. Peace in the world. Home in your heart equals peace in your world. So, let’s look at home in your heart. Home is a way of being. It’s a constant walk of realism, combined with solutions of moving forward. It’s not a place with four walls and a roof that you go or an idea, “there’s no place like home”. It is a way of being. It is showing up for yourself in a loving understanding way. The way you seek to resolve the past. Realizing nothing is perfect. Believing you will always be ok because we learn to adapt to situations, we figure out solutions. Resolving and committing to keep moving forward, even if it is hard to let go. Realizing you can do the hard things. Reminding yourself that you will return to peace even if you are uncomfortable now. Comfort will come. Peace will come. Slow and steady wins the race. It’s time to wake up to the realization that when you are alive within your home, seek the safe space you have created for yourself because you are the source of your existence. You are the source of wisdom from past experiences, good and bad. You can do the hard stuff. Bring yourself back home and help others find direction in the act of being home. Healing comes. Wisdom comes. Patience comes. Slow and steady wins the race. When I started this blog, I spoke about the movement of the turtle. Sometimes within the shell, sometimes moving slowly, sometimes diving deep into the water. No matter where you are, you are always home in your protective shell. You are gaining wisdom, persistence and longevity.Just think, what can learn from watching the turtle. We begin to understand that sometimes slow and steady wins the race. Our ultimate goal to live the life we love and love the life we live.Peace and blessingsStaceyTo watch this episode, join our group (1) Connecting to Spirit With Stacey | Facebook and click on https://www.facebook.com/share/v/1GGGQds1sV/
Pain is Part of Life
Pain is Part of Life
“Nobody’s life is entirely free of pain and sorrow. Isn’t it a question to live with them rather than trying to avoid them?” - The Power of Now by Eckhart TolleAs I read and absorb “The Power of Now” the words of each chapter are powerful and make perfect sense as I read them. But then I think of how to incorporate them in my daily life. It seems difficult to completely achieve being in the now at all times. These daily habits seem to be like regiment of exercises of the mind. I believe in this world that is filled with humans, we rise and fall in a continuous loop. Pain is part of life but so is joy and growth. We attract what we give fuel to by focusing our minds and actions to a common goal. To be happy and life our lives to the fullest. But our minds go where they go without consciously steering it in that direction. Spiritual enlightenment emphasizes staying present. To be in the moment of what is happening a this particular time. To recognize what the universe is handing to me right now. To learn what needs to be learned. Not tomorrow or yesterday. We are talking right now.Eckhart Tolle said, “The greatest part of human pain is unnecessary.” I had to think about that for a minute. I wonder, do he mean the all-consuming thoughts that haunt our minds? Triggers that access to flash backs of a past trauma. The unconscious mind, is that the unnecessary part? I often sit and reflect on the beautiful memories and events in my life and wonder why they do not sprinkle glistening sparks of joy in my head more often. I wonder why, instead, things that trigger me float in? Why is my brain trained to go into this direction? This, to me, is the unnecessary part.I break in down to that fact that some of my most haunting pain is caused by the loss of joyful memories I once experienced. Grief is one of these triggers. I am homesick for what once was. The second part of the beginning quote said, “Isn’t it a question to live with them (pain and sorrow) rather than try to avoid them?Mother’s Day just passed. A time to celebrate motherhood. I lament that it is also a reminder of the mothers who are no longer on this earth. The mothers who have children in the spirit world and the mothers who, for some reason were unable to become mothers. The twisting and turning of emotions that is meant to celebrate mothers can also bring pain and sorrow. Which did you experience? Maybe it was a combination of celebration and sorrow.Did you know that Mother’s Day was started when Ann Jarvis’ mother passed away May 9, 1905. She wanted to create a group to celebrate her mother. In 1914 President Woodrow Wilson signed a bill to recognize her idea as a national holiday. Before that, Mother’s Day was created as an anti-war movement. Julia Ward Howe aimed to promote a Mother’s Peace Day. This was an early attempt for mothers to find peace in the chaos of war. Jarvis regretted at her death that this day had become so commercialized. But before her passing she honored her mother by sending 500 white carnations to a church. She compared the shape of the flower to the life cycle of a mother’s love. She stated that it is not about the cards, or gifts, it is about love. The positive contributions, motherhood and maternal bonds create in a family. It is a day to honor both the physical and spiritual nurturing of mothers, Divine mothers. Those who were created as spiritual guides instilling faith and values. To foster a connection to something greater that we have, and unconditional love that enables us to nurture those around us.Whether we are mothers or daughters, we may live with the pain and sorrow of no longer identifying as such. But instead of avoiding it, we live with it as a reminder. Good or bad, we live through it, one day at a time, because there is no avoiding it.I tell you this with confidence, death is not final. We will reunite with our mothers, or children who have passed from our earthly family. And I truly believe for mothers in wait, unable to have children; you will truly be blessed by being a mother figure to a motherless child in need of your nurturing spirit, no matter their age. There are two quotes I want to instill in your heart.“Women without children are also the best of mothers, often with the patience, interest and saving grace that the constant relationship with a child cannot always sustain.”“There is something about losing a mother that is permanent and inexpressive - a wound that will never heal. Mothers hold their children’s hands for a while, but their hearts forever. You were my home, Mother, I had no home but you.”As we live, we also grieve as time passes. We walk amongst beautiful souls who touch our lives and leave a lasting impression on our hearts. The goal is to live in the memories instead of avoiding them. To find the grace and joy of things we once had and continue to have in our heart. To share with others. Laugh, cry, reflect, allow the memories to live on within you knowing a beautiful soul touched your heart. This is the power of now. Honor them in the now. Talk to them and about them now. They are only a whisper away.Because of this, I pray you live the life you love and love the life you live.BlessingsStaceyTo join our community, go to (1) Connecting to Spirit With Stacey | FacebookTo watch this episode https://www.facebook.com/share/v/1LuEtVmjzR/
