From Overthinking to Inner Growing… Where the Quiet Work of Becoming Begins
Welcome to the Tuesday Talk recap. We come together every Tuesday to offer hints to help you align your energy with practices that keep you mindful of being or becoming the best version of yourself. We cover various topics, from mediumship readings, grief, meditation, mindfulness, spiritual growth, and more. For anyone new, this is a safe space that invites you to reconnect with your higher self. A space where no judgement is made. Your thoughts and ideas are just that: yours. There is nothing you have to prove to anyone. I just ask that you relax, open your heart and mind, and allow the words that need to be heard fall upon your heart with grace. For those returning, welcome back. I’m so glad you are here and that you continue to be here.
This month we are discussing earth energy, grounding, nature, stability, root chakra, focus, and growth. It may seem like a big topic, and it is because it is so important to feel grounded safely.
I want you to think about the earth as not being beneath you, instead, welcome it within you. As a place of reconnections, a place where everything in your life grows differently. A seed outside of the earth is just a seed.
You are not only here to rise above the human experience, but you are also here to root into it deeply. Planting your root deep within freshly tilled soil.
“Long before anything blooms in your life…
it learns to grow in the dark, beneath the surface —
and so do you.”
There’s a quiet shift that happens when you move from the noise of the mind into the steadiness of something deeper. It’s less like “figuring it out” and more like returning — like roots finding water beneath the surface.
A journey inward, almost like guiding someone from the surface of a stormy ocean down into still, grounded earth:
Here are 5 tips/components to help calm the storm and strengthen your roots.
1. Focus — Choosing where your energy lands
The mind can spiral, it’s a bit scattered. This is the place that the higher self gathers.
I ask that you view this focus not as forced but invited, as a devotion to yourself — gently returning your attention to what truly matters. You acknowledge the storm, but then gently bring your attention back to what is important to grow. Each time you come back, you strengthen that inner anchor, your roots.
2. Eliminate distractions — Clearing the soil
Distractions aren’t just external; they’re energetic clutter. It’s where overthinking springs up. You are tending to your garden. Pulling the weeds, removing rocks, preparing the soil for growth. What are we allowing to take up space? What needs to be pulled so something meaningful can grow?
3. Practice mindfulness — The doorway
Mindfulness isn’t a task; it’s an arrival. A daily habit of connecting to your breath. It is truly being aware of your breath and your body. When you recognize how your breath changes in certain situations, when we know when we need to reframe and slow down. Awareness becomes the bridge. When focus connects, the mind loosens its grip, and something wiser and calmer begins to speak. We are fully here.
4. Live in the moment — where alignment exists
When you realize you don’t always need to become someone new…you just need to return to what is already within you. The higher self doesn’t live in the past or future. It lives in the here and now. It’s always here. It is as though you are stepping out of time and into truth and balance. A space where clarity feels natural and simple, not forced.
5. Access your mental consciousness — observing, not becoming
Slowing the mind down. Instead of getting lost and overthinking every thought and decision. You are learning that your intuitive thoughts and your mental awareness can exist side by side. Like watching clouds move across the sky. The higher self is the sky, not the storm.
Not all growth is visible. Roots do not ask for applause or validation. They grow in the dark, in the quiet, in the unseen. They are in search of the path to nourishment.
Sometimes it may feel like nothing is happening…
You may already be becoming something deeper than what the eye can measure.
Bloom where you are planted —
but trust that before the bloom,
there is always the root.
“Everything we just spoke about — the stillness, the awareness, the higher self — that doesn’t live somewhere far away. It’s built… quietly… through the way you tend to yourself every day. The roots.”
Focus becomes a root
Each time you return your attention, you send energy downward. You are telling your nervous system, this matters. This is important. Roots grow where energy flows.
Eliminating distractions becomes protection
You are choosing what gets access to your soil. Not everything deserves to take root within you.
Mindfulness becomes nourishment
Presence is water. The more you come back to the moment, the more you feed what is trying to grow beneath the surface.
Living in the moment becomes stability
Roots don’t grow in the yesterday or tomorrow — they grow in the now. This is where your strength holds balance.
Accessing your consciousness becomes awareness of the roots themselves
You begin to feel what’s happening beneath the surface. You’re no longer reacting — you’re witnessing, choosing, aligning.
“So when it feels like you’re stuck… or nothing is changing…
Ask yourself — am I strengthening my roots?
Here is a mantra you can practice:
“I trust what is growing within me,
even when I cannot see it.”
A mantra to take you a little deeper:
“I release the noise of the mind
and return to the wisdom within.
I am rooted. I am guided. I am becoming.”
Because the bloom is not something you chase. It’s something that inevitably happens when the roots are deep enough to hold it.”
Nothing you are becoming is wasted. The roots are growing…even now.
Focus. Clear. Be present. Return to now.
Witness your mind…but root into your truth.
Because the life you’re waiting for is already growing beneath your feet. The universe is calling you to live the life you love and love the life you live.
“The bloom is not your job.
The roots are.”
Blessing of love and light always,
Stacey
