Align with the Spring Equinox: 6 Practices for Inner Balance and Spiritual Renewal
Welcome to the Tuesday Talk recap. I tried something new on the live today and I don’t think I was successful because the live disappeared.
We come together every Tuesday to offer hints to help you align your energy with practices that keep you mindful of being or becoming the best version of yourself. We cover various topics, from mediumship readings, grief, meditation, mindfulness, spiritual growth, and more. For anyone new, this is a safe space that invites you to reconnect with your higher self. A space where no judgement is made. Your thoughts and ideas are just that: yours. There is nothing you have to prove to anyone. I just ask that you relax, open your heart and mind, and allow the words that need to be heard fall upon your heart with grace. For those returning, welcome back. I’m so glad you are here and that you continue to be here.
To continue with our Spiritual focus theme for March: renewal, expansion, awakening, rebirth, focus, spiritual studies. Let’s talk about the energies of Spring Equinox. March 20th at 10:46am. We are discussing 6 Practices for Inner Balance and Spiritual Renewal to align with the Equinox.
Spring Equinox is a moment when light and darkness exist in perfect balance. Spiritually, it reminds us that growth does not come from avoiding the dark seasons of life, but from honoring them. Just as seeds grow beneath the soil before they ever reach the sun, our own awakening often begins in the quiet, unseen places within us. Every year the Earth reaches a moment of perfect balance. On the Spring Equinox, day and night stand as equals—light and darkness sharing the sky in harmony. Nature shows us something profound here. Before the light begins to stretch longer across the Earth, there is first balance.
Spiritually, our lives move the same way. We all move through seasons of winter—times of grief, reflection, uncertainty, or deep inner transformation. These seasons can feel dark, but just like the soil beneath the ground, something sacred is happening where we cannot yet see it. The equinox reminds us that awakening does not come from rejecting the darkness. It comes from integrating it. When we honor both our shadows and our light, something begins to shift. Balance returns. Energy moves again. And just like the Earth turning gently toward the sun, our spirit begins to awaken.
Rebirth is not becoming someone new. It is remembering who you are beneath everything that life has asked you to carry. Today we gather in the energy of this sacred turning point—to release what winter taught us, to rebalance our hearts, and to allow the next version of our soul to gently rise toward the light.
To prepare, here are some questions to meditate over or during this time.
What part of your life is asking to come back into balance?
What part of you has been in winter?
Winter, spiritually, is not something broken—it is a sacred pause where parts of us retreat inward for healing and transformation. Imagine for a moment that your inner world moves through seasons just like the Earth does. Some parts of you may already feel like spring—hopeful, awakening, ready for new possibilities. But there may also be a part of you that is still in winter. That place within us that has grown quiet for different reasons like:
It may be the part of you that has carried grief.
The part that became tired from giving too much.
The part that stepped back after being hurt or disappointed.
Or the part of your spirit that simply needed rest.
Gently ask: “Where inside me has the light not quite reached yet?” Not with judgment. Not with pressure to change it. Just with curiosity and compassion. Because in nature, winter is not failure. It is protection. Beneath frozen ground, seeds are still alive. Roots are still growing. Life is quietly preparing itself for the moment it is ready to rise.
When we look within during the energy of the Spring Equinox, we are simply noticing which part of our soul is ready for warmth again. Not forcing it to bloom. Just turning toward it with awareness, the way the Earth slowly turns toward the sun. Sometimes the most powerful question we can ask ourselves is:
What part of me has been waiting for the light?
And when we find that place, we meet it with the same tenderness nature does—patience, warmth, and trust that awakening happens in its own sacred time.
Honoring the Inner Winter
We honor our inner winter because it is the season where the soul rests, heals, and gathers wisdom beneath the surface. Let’s go back to the seeds. Just as seeds grow quietly beneath frozen ground, our deepest transformation often happens in stillness and reflection. When we honor this sacred pause, we allow true rebirth and spiritual awakening to emerge naturally. Rebirth requires acknowledging what came before
Winter represents can represent:
grief
endings
quiet transformation
spiritual incubation
Your winter was not wasted time—it was sacred preparation. Seeds grow underground before they reach the light.
It may help to journal the answers to these 3 questions.
What did this past season teach me?
What parts of myself felt dormant?
What pain or challenge reshaped me?
Spring energy is not forcing growth; it is allowing the things ready to rise. Awakening is the moment you begin to notice those things within you, reaching for the light. After seasons of reflection and healing, parts of your spirit naturally begin to stir with new clarity, purpose, and possibility. It is not something you force—only something you gently recognize and allow to grow. Rebirth is not becoming someone new it is remembering who you have always been. Just like the Earth, the soul knows when it is time to bloom.
Reflection questions to meditate and journal about:
In your journal title it “Preparing the ground”
What part of my spirit is waking up?
What dream or calling is asking for attention?
Next journal 3 intentions for the coming season: Title that page “Planting Intentions”
1. One for the heart
2. One for personal growth
3. One for spiritual connection
After preparing the soil, then planting the intentions, you’ll want to create harmony for rebalance. We’ll call that watering, and nourishing the intention seeds.
Rebalancing the spirit is the practice of bringing your inner world and your outer life back into harmony. When the physical self becomes busy, burdened, or disconnected, the soul gently calls us back to what truly nourishes us. Creating balance means honoring both—caring for the body that carries you and the spirit that guides you. When these two move in rhythm again, life begins to feel aligned, grounded, and deeply purposeful. Creating harmony between the physical and spiritual self
The equinox teaches us balance between:
Light and shadow
Doing and resting
Giving and receiving
The material world and the soul
Exploring the balance of each.
A visual to gently check in with the different areas of you life is often called “Life Balance Wheel”. It helps us be aware of where our energy is flowing—and where it may need nurturing. The Life Balance Wheel is a simple way to look at the different parts of your life as pieces of a circle that together create wholeness. Each section represents an area of your life—such as your spiritual connection, emotional well-being, relationships, purpose, and self-care. When one area is receiving much more or much less attention than the others, the wheel becomes uneven and life can begin to feel out of balance. Just as the Spring Equinox reminds us of balance between light and dark, the Life Balance Wheel helps us see where we may need to restore harmony within ourselves.
Spiritual Growth & Trusting Divine Timing. Nature never rushes the blooming process.
Growth happens in cycles
Spiritual awakening is layered
Every season has purpose
Growth is not a straight path—it moves in cycles, just like nature does. There are times of expansion and clarity, and other times of reflection, healing, and quiet transformation. Spiritual awakening unfolds in layers; each experience gently reveals a deeper understanding of ourselves and our connection to something greater. Often, we believe we should already be “there,” yet the soul awakens gradually, wisdom building upon wisdom. Every season of life—whether joyful or challenging—carries its own purpose and teaching. When we trust the rhythm of these seasons, we begin to see that nothing along our path has been wasted.
A simple Spring Equinox ritual can help you plant your intention to grow. It does not need to be a grant ceremony. It is a small, intentional moment where we pause to honor balance, release the past season, and welcome new growth.
Here is how you would think about creating a ritual that intuitively feels right in your energy:
Reflect on:
Where am I right now in the cycle of growth? What do I need to release from winter as I walk into spring?
This is a way of acknowledging the turning of the seasons both around us and within us. During the Equinox, when light and darkness are in balance, we take a quiet moment to release what we carried through winter and set intentions for what we are ready to grow. This can be as simple as writing down something you are ready to let go of, followed by a few intentions you wish to nurture in the coming months. The act of speaking or writing these intentions helps align your energy with the natural rhythm of renewal. In this way, the ritual becomes a gentle conversation between your soul and the new season beginning to unfold.
Write down what you are releasing from winter
Fold the paper and place it in a bowl or burn it safely
Afterwards: Speak your new intentions aloud
Closing affirmation:
“I welcome the light returning to my life. I trust the wisdom of my seasons. I allow my soul to bloom in its own divine time.”
A seed cannot compare its journey to a flower already blooming. Rebirth is not a sudden transformation. It is a gentle awakening. The earth slowly turns toward the sun; the soul slowly turns toward its truth.
The Spring Equinox reminds us that balance is always possible—and that no matter how long winter felt, the light always returns. Honor the dark. Call in the light. Stand firm in your intentions and allow your energy to bring you the life you love to love the life you live.
Blessings for all things within you, reaching towards the light,
Stacey
