Only A Whisper Away Women’s Spiritual Retreat A Journey to Wonderland
Welcome to the Tuesday Talk recap. We come together every Tuesday to offer hints to help you align your energy with practices that keep you mindful of being or becoming the best version of yourself. We cover various topics, from mediumship readings, grief, meditation, mindfulness, spiritual growth, and more. For anyone new, this is a safe space that invites you to reconnect with your higher self. A space where no judgement is made. Your thoughts and ideas are just that: yours. There is nothing you have to prove to anyone. I just ask that you relax, open your heart and mind, and allow the words that need to be heard fall upon your heart with grace. For those returning, welcome back. I’m so glad you are here and that you continue to be here.
Our spiritual focus theme for March: renewal, expansion, awakening, rebirth, focus, spiritual studies. To continue with the theme, let’s talk about spiritual studies.
This year I am facilitating our 3rd Women’s Spiritual Retreat October 8–11th. We will be traveling “Through the Looking Glass” in search of our spiritual journey. Let me explain.
On the surface, Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland read like a children’s fairy tale. But during the retreat, we will venture beneath the playful characters and dreamlike chaos, because what lies in this is something profound. Written by Lewis Carroll, the story “Mirrors” the spiritual awakening journey in a beautiful, symbolic way. Alice’s fall down the rabbit hole reflects the moment we begin to question reality, identity, and the world as we thought we understood it. It is the plunge into the unknown or the subconscious mind, an unexpected departure from the familiar, the everyday reality. What seems like nonsense is actually transformation. The soul learning to trust intuition, release fear, and rediscover its true self.
When my life was turning upside down, I kept my focus on the fact that Alice had to fall into a deep, dark hole to find her wonderland. That was how I described the time of battling anxiety and depression. I was not going to allow myself to stay in this battle for life. I thought I was sycophantic or losing my mind. “I’m afraid so. You’re entirely bonkers. But I’ll tell you a secret. All the best people are.” — Just like Alice, this was my soul’s awakening path. I was in a transition from a rigid, conditioned worldview to enter into a more awakened state of consciousness.
Let’s compare a bit: Awakening begins with curiosity. “Who in the world am I? Ah, that’s the great puzzle!” From Chapter 2, Alice was wondering who she was. Do you wonder where your soul path is leading you to become?
Points we will examine: Identity dissolves before it reforms. Reality is more flexible than we think. Guidance appears when needed. Fear loses power when seen clearly. The journey is inward not outward.
Spirituality is: waking up from illusion. Reclaiming personal power. Realizing you were never really trapped.
Wonderland is full of archetypes, and each one mirrors a powerful inner aspect of a woman’s spiritual journey. Below are what the characters symbolize. Is there a similar question you ask yourself? We will engage in soul-centered workshops, reflective journaling, and take deep-dive into meditations to align with your personal path.
Each of these characters are in different stages of their journey. Which one feels symbolic, empowering, and deeply connected to personal growth?
👑 Wonderland Characteristics and symbolism of each. Which one aligns with how your feel? What is your precursor inner voice asking:
🐇 1. The White Rabbit — The Awakener
Symbolizes: Intuition, timing, inner calling She is the part of you that whispers, “It’s time.” The White Rabbit represents the inner nudge that pulls a woman toward change — the spark, the curiosity, the sense that something more is waiting. She is urgency without panic, movement without chaos, and the reminder that your soul’s timing is always right on time.
She asks: What is calling you forward right now?
🎩 2. The Mad Hatter — The Creative Rebel
Symbolizes: Imagination, authenticity, breaking rules The Mad Hatter embodies the wild, unfiltered creativity inside every woman. She is the part of you that colors outside the lines, questions the “shoulds,” and finds freedom in the unconventional. She teaches that healing doesn’t have to be serious — it can be playful, expressive, and delightfully weird.
She asks: Where have you been playing small to fit in?
🐛 3. The Caterpillar — The Transformer
Symbolizes: Growth, identity, evolution The Caterpillar is the archetype of becoming — the sacred in‑between. She represents the version of you that is shedding old identities, beliefs, and patterns. She reminds you that transformation is not instant; it is a slow, sacred unraveling.
She asks: Who are you becoming when no one is watching?
👑 4. The Queen of Hearts — The Boundary Keeper
Symbolizes: Power, sovereignty, self‑worth Often misunderstood, the Queen of Hearts symbolizes fierce boundaries and unapologetic self‑ownership. She is the part of you that says “no” with clarity, “yes” with conviction, and refuses to shrink for anyone. She teaches that claiming your throne is an act of self‑love.
She asks: Where do you need to reclaim your power?
🌹 5. Alice — The Seeker
Symbolizes: Curiosity, courage, self‑discovery Alice is the heart of the journey — the woman who dares to wander. She represents innocence, bravery, and the willingness to question everything. She is the part of you that steps into the unknown even when it feels uncomfortable.
She asks: What truth are you ready to explore?
🪞 6. The Looking Glass — The Inner Mirror
Symbolizes: Reflection, truth, clarity Not a character, but a powerful archetype. The Looking Glass represents the moments when you see yourself clearly — your patterns, your desires, your wounds, your brilliance. She is the invitation to witness yourself without judgment.
She asks: What is being reflected back to you right now?
🌙 7. The Cheshire Cat — The Intuitive Guide
Symbolizes: Mystery, trust, inner wisdom The Cheshire Cat is the voice of intuition — cryptic, playful, and always right. She represents the part of you that knows the way, even when the path is unclear. She teaches trust, surrender, and the magic of following your inner compass.
She asks: What does your intuition already know?
🌼 8. The Garden of Talking Flowers — The Sisterhood
Symbolizes: Community, connection, shared wisdom This archetype represents the collective — the women who surround you, support you, challenge you, and help you bloom. It symbolizes the healing that happens in community, where every voice matters and every story has a place.
She asks: Who helps you grow?
