Welcome, everyone. I’m so grateful you’re here for the Tuesday Talks at 10:30 recap. This is a moment in time created several years ago. It is meant to be a safe space to explore your spiritual path. We touch upon many subjects, from grief to connecting to spirit and our higher selves, stone energy, and so much more. Whether you are live or on replay or reading the blog, you have arrived at the exact moment you were meant to be here.
Welcome back, all returning connection tribe, and if this is your 1st time here, welcome to the connecting family. I am so glad you found us.
I’m Spiritual Healer, Author, Retreat Facilitator, Keynote Speaker, and Evidential Medium, Stacey Niedentohl. I wear many woo-woo hats, and my passion is to meet you where you are in your journey of healing and growing.
I want to take this time to remind you of the Only a Whisper Away Women’s Retreat October 8th-11th Wonderland style. I’m going to tell you what you may experience if you join us. We only have 3 spaces left. If you feel as though you are on the edge of Wonderland in your spiritual walk, I’d like to invite you to come along. We will be gathering for a long weekend of classes, practical exercises, fun and sisterhood. It’s not too late. Comment Wonderland and I’ll send you information. Here is just a small portion of what you may discover.
The Symbolic Stages of Feminine Awakening
There are symbolic stages of feminine awakening in this magical story. You may think it’s only a fairytale but in essence it is a sequence of symbolism.
Today, I want to take you somewhere a little different. Imagine that you're on your way to Wonderland. You don't quite know where the path is going to take you. You don't have a map, and you certainly don't have all the answers.
But as Alice discovered, sometimes the journey itself begins revealing things we didn't know we were looking for. Along the way, Alice encounters some very unusual characters. And what if those characters aren't simply characters? What if they represent pieces of the journey we all experience? The questions we ask. The choices we make. The voices we listen to. The parts of ourselves we may have forgotten. The intuition that whispers when we're standing at a crossroads. The moments when we need to stop and become still. The moments when we're asked to look at something from an entirely different perspective.
Maybe, even the moments when we realize that what we thought was taking us somewhere else was actually leading us back to ourselves. That's the idea behind my upcoming Wonderland retreat.
During the Retreat, we're going to step through the looking glass. Not to escape reality, but to look at our own journey through a different lens. I'm not going to give away all the pieces of the Wonderland Retreat today. Because Wonderland is meant to be experienced.
I'll introduce you to some of the characters along the way, and offer you little glimpses into the symbolism they carry. But the deeper journey? That's something I want you to discover for yourself. Because just like Alice, you may enter Wonderland thinking you're looking for one thing and discover that the journey was really about you all along.
Invitation
So today, consider this your invitation. The path is opening. And I think we're all a little closer to Wonderland than we think.
I invite you to settle in and open your mind.
Ok, come with me as we step into Wonderland. Not as a fantasy, but as a map of feminine awakening. Every character, every moment, every strange twist is actually a mirror of our inner journey. Wonderland is the place where we stop pretending, stop performing, and start remembering who we really are.
Introduction of the Characters and Symbols
Let’s take a deep breath together and look at the characters Alice encounters during her journey:
Down the Rabbit Hole (The Awakening)
This is the moment your soul says: “I can’t keep living the way I’ve been living.” The Rabbit Hole is the portal, the entrance, the call, the curiosity, the discomfort, the whisper that something more is waiting.
It prompts us to ask: “What called you here? What part of your life is asking for change?”
Drink Me (Ego Release)
The bottle says “Drink Me”, but what it really means is Let go. Let go of the labels, the roles, the masks, the expectations. This is the shrinking of everything false.
The question it asks you: What identity have you outgrown? What mask feels heavy now?
Eat Me (Expansion)
After shrinking comes expansion. Eat Me is reclaiming your power, your voice, your worth, your presence. This is where you stop apologizing for being big.
This symbolizes the question: What part of you is ready to grow? What power wants to rise?
The Caterpillar (Identity)
The Caterpillar asks one of the most important questions in Wonderland: Who are you? Not your job, not your relationships, not your past; but your soul identity.
Questions to ponder: Who are you becoming? What truth about yourself is emerging?
Mad Tea Party (Sisterhood)
The Tea Party is chaotic, messy, loud, imperfect and that’s the point. It’s the place where women gather without masks. Where laughter becomes medicine. Where being seen becomes healing.
Reflection prompt: What does authentic sisterhood mean to you? Where do you feel most seen?
Cheshire Cat (Intuition)
The Cheshire Cat doesn’t give directions. He gives riddles. He teaches you to trust your inner compass instead of external approval. Intuition is the smile that appears when you’re aligned.
The big questions the Cheshire Cat brings: What intuitive nudge have you been ignoring? What inner guidance is speaking now?
Queen of Hearts (Sovereignty)
The Queen of Hearts is not about rage. You may think she is, however, she’s about boundaries. The part of you that says: “No more. Not here. Not with me.” Sovereignty is choosing yourself without guilt.
Reflection Prompt: What boundary is ready to be set? Where do you need to reclaim your throne?
The March Hare (Sacred Invitation)
The March Hare represents the sacred invitation to play again. As adults, we can become so focused on responsibility, grief, what others expect and trying to make sure we get everything right; so much so that we forget curiosity.
The March Hare says: “You don’t have to have it all figured out to enjoy the journey.”
The Dormouse (Rest, Inner Stillness & the Unconscious)
The Dormouse represent the part of us that needs to become still enough to hear what is underneath the noise. He is sleepy, quiet, and often overlooked. The great metaphor for the quiet wisdom within us. Because spiritual growth isn't always about doing something. Sometimes the message is: Stop. Breathe. Listen. Rest. Let what you already know rise to the surface.
The Dormouse represents: Not every message arrives as a sign. Some arrive as silence.
The Garden (Integration)
The Garden is where everything comes together. Awakening, release, expansion, identity, sisterhood, intuition, sovereignty; all rooted into your daily life. This is the homecoming.
It questions within us: What seed are you planting? What commitment are you making to yourself?
Alice
Now let’s look at Alice.
Alice isn’t someone who has all the answers. She is curious and questions. She is sometimes confused but constantly discovering that wonderland is revealing something about herself. Alice represents something in all of us. It is the soul having courage to enter the unknown, to trust what we may discover and find our way home to ourselves.
She is that part of us that is willing to step beyond what we already know and discover who we are becoming. Alice falls down a rabbit hole and discovers an awakening or was it a disruption that pulls us out of what is familiar? When I was in my darkest time in my life. The memories of this childhood story reminded me that Alice had to fall down a really deep dark hole in order to find Wonderland. So, in my mind I was on the path to find my wonderland. At the time I did not realize that Wonderland was a spiritual path. I realized it was a journey to the unfamiliar and it’s symbolic. And yes, sometimes confusing but look at these symbols again:
If these symbols are part of our awakening, Alice represents the soul on the journey, the Cheshire Cat represents intuition, and the March Hare represents playfulness and questioning, the Dormouse stillness, rest, and the wisdom found beneath the noise.
Think about the Cheshire Cat. He appears when Alice needs direction but not the full answer.
The Changing Path shows you choices, free will and realization that there is more than 1 path.
Growing and shrinking changes the perception of self. Sometimes we feel too small, sometimes we outgrow who we once were.
The Caterpillar is all about transformation. Who am I becoming?
The Mad Hatter teaches us to look at life from all different perspective and to question what we’ve been taught.
The Queen is the external voice of fear, control, judgement. “The “shoulds”.
The White Rabbit is the feeling of always chasing something outside of ourselves.
Besides for Alice, I believe all the characters are important, but there are 3 crucial characters on her path of awakening. The Cheshire Cat that teaches Alice to listen. The March Hare teaches her to question and the Dormouse teaches her to be still.
Sometimes, the path doesn’t ask us to find the answer. It urges us to become willing to ask different questions.
Here is a lesson I learned, and I want to tell you. Sometimes the spiritual path isn’t always deep healing and serious transformation. Sometimes, awakening means remembering to wonder.
In our 3-day retreat, we are going to meet all these characters. We are going to shrink and grow. Question and listen. But more importantly we will all experience that Wonderland isn’t a place you visit. It’s a place you become.
I walked through several stages of Wonderland today. I gave you a small snippet of what you will experience at the Only a Whisper Away Retreat Wonderland style. If you join us you may awaken, release, expand, remember, connect, trust reclaim, and integrate. You may realize that you are the magic now.
Deep breath. Hands over heart. Imagine being able to know without doubt: I am aligned. I am sovereign. I am home.
If this episode resonated with you, like and share. Or better yet, message me “take me to Wonderland” and I’ll send you information. Don’t be late for a very important date, October 8-11th.
I’m so excited to go to Wonderland. The only thing missing is you --
Have a magical day of wonder.
